Posada Tamarindo is located in José Ignacio, a resort located at kilometer 182 of Route 10, 40 kilometers east of Punta del Este, in the department of Maldonado, Uruguay.
HOW TO ARRIVE BY PLANE
Entering through the Laguna del Sauce Airport, located 60 kilometers from José Ignacio. From the airport you can rent a car or hire a transport to José Ignacio. Entering through the Carrasco International Airport in Montevideo, from where you can take a direct bus to José Ignacio or to Punta del Este.
HOW TO ARRIVE BY BOAT
From Argentina by boat, a combination must be made by land from Colonia to Montevideo or Punta del Este.
HOW TO GET THERE BY CAR
From Montevideo you have to take the Interbalnearia Route to Punta del Este and on the Peninsula take Route 10, which begins as a waterfront at Playa Brava. Jose Ignacio is only 40 km from Punta del Este and the drive takes approximately 35 minutes. From Argentina via Salto or Paysandú, by Route 3 to San José, then Route 11 to Interbalnearia and continue to Punta del Este to take Route 10 to José Ignacio. If you enter Uruguay through the Gualeguaychú-Fray Bentos bridge, take Route 2 and then Route 1 to Montevideo, continuing along the Interbalnearia. From Brazil, take Route BR 471 to Chuy, to continue on Route 9 to Camino Eugenio Saiz Martínez, which leads directly to José Ignacio after traveling 11 kilometers.
HOW TO ARRIVE BY BUS
You can take a bus at the Punta del Este terminal or small buses that do the tour in summer. From Terminal Tres Cruces in Montevideo there are also buses that go to José Ignacio.
